Alltagsmenschen Installation "Die Couchzone". 2 Männer im Gespräch auf der Couch.

The Alltagsmenschen

The initial reaction is often one of amazement upon discovering that these are not real people. A closer look shows that the life-size concrete sculptures unfold an effect and dynamism of their own. They are an artistic depiction of everyday life – touching scenes of real life that show something that is commonly overlooked: life being lived in its purest form, unadorned and yet far from banal.

The Alltagsmenschen enliven public spaces wherever people encounter them: on streets, squares, in pedestrian zones and parks. They sit on a bench, deep in conversation or quite simply next to each other, enjoying the sun and evoking the beauty of the moment.

Their positioning underlines the claim to normality: The Alltagsmenschen are approachable – they invite you to walk around them, touch them or simply contemplate them quietly.

Everyday People "The Dancer" in pink shirt with black hat

The dance group

The dance group delights many visitors and practically invites them to take a short stroll on the dance floor.

The real star of the group, however, is undoubtedly the dreamy man in the hat, who seems completely lost in the rhythm of the music. This could be because the sheer joy of life of a Cuban dance group inspired Laura & Christel Lechner to create this sculpture.
