Alltagsmenschen are coming to Oberkirch
From mid-July 2025, over 40 life-size sculptures will be making their way into Oberkirch town centre. The open-air exhibition will be on display in the small town pearl in the Renchtal valley in the Black Forest until mid-November.

Wenn die Luft kalt wird und die Tiere im Zoo ihr Winterfell tragen, ziehen die Alltagsmenschen ein. Ab dem 5. Dezember sind die Skulpturen von Laura Lechner und Christel Lechner erstmals in Osnabrück zu sehen – als Gäste im Zoo.

Oberkirch, nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Black Forest and surrounded by vineyards, is a picturesque town in Baden-Württemberg. The town of 20,000 inhabitants is characterised by its historic old town with winding alleyways, inviting cafés and traditional half-timbered houses, which is why it is also known as the ‘small town pearl in the Renchtal’.
This year, for the first time, Oberkirch will be the backdrop for over 40 sculptures of everyday people, which will enrich the townscape in a very special way at 21 locations. A visit that combines art, town and nature!

Während der Ausstellungszeit lädt die Zoo-Hauptgastronomie zu einem kleinen „Alltagsgenussmoment“ ein – mit einem eigens kreierten Cookie, einem Heißgetränk und einer Postkarte.
Außerdem sind Zeichen-Workshops geplant, die von der Zoopädagogin und einer zeichnerisch interessierten Kollegin des Zoos angeboten werden.
