Winter exhibition 05.12.2025 – 16.02.2026
Alltagsmenschen x Zoo Osnabrück
When the air turns cold and the animals at the zoo grow their winter coats, the Everyday People sculptures move in. From December 4th, the sculptures by Laura Lechner and Christel Lechner will be on display in Osnabrück for the first time – as guests at the zoo.

Experience the
Alltagsmenschen exhibition
From December 4, 2025, to February 16, 2026, selected sculptures will transform Osnabrück Zoo into a wintry world where art and the animal kingdom meet. For the first time, these "Everyday People" sculptures will be on display in a zoo – sometimes placed in the middle of the animal enclosures, sometimes nestled within the landscape. This creates surprising motifs, new perspectives, and moments that invite contemplation.
The life-size figures by Laura Lechner and Christel Lechner depict familiar everyday scenes, appearing almost alive from a distance and revealing their special charm as you approach them. A visit to this exhibition that uniquely combines art and nature – and is already included in the regular zoo admission.

Accompanying events for the Alltagsmenschen exhibition
at Osnabrück Zoo
As part of the "Everyday People" exhibition, Osnabrück Zoo offers various activities for visitors of all ages.
A particular highlight is the "Painting Porcelain" workshop, which creatively complements the exhibition and invites participants to get creative themselves.
During the exhibition, the zoo's main restaurant invites visitors to enjoy a small "Alltagsgenussmomente"—with a specially created cookie, a hot drink, and a postcard.
In addition, drawing workshops are planned, offered by the zoo's educator and a colleague from the zoo who is also interested in drawing.
We wish all our guests much joy in discovering, participating, and enjoying the exhibition, and an inspiring visit to the "Everyday People" sculptures at Osnabrück Zoo.
