The Alltagsmenschen
by Christel Lechner and Laura Lechner
The Alltagsmenschen represent an artistic staging of the everyday. Touching snapshots that show what is commonly overlooked: the lived life in its purest form. Unadorned and yet far from banality.
The Lechner sculptures in their current language of expression have matured for almost 30 years. Each sculpture is created step by step in comprehensive manual work and is characterized by a remarkable liveliness.
Christel and Laura Lechner have been working together on the Alltagsmenschen in Atelier Lechnerhof studio since 2004. In 2017 Laura Lechner took over the artistic direction of the Atelier Lechnerhof.
