Oberkirch...
... Oberkirch hosted the Everyday People exhibition from July 16 to November 11, 2025. Forty sculptures by Laura Lechner and Christel Lechner were on display at 17 locations throughout the town.
Many encounters happened incidentally. On the way through the city center, while shopping, during brief stops. Those who looked more closely discovered gestures, postures, and small pauses in the midst of everyday life.

Valkenburg...
Geul in the Netherlands was the first host of an Everyday People exhibition in 2024. Forty sculptures could be discovered at 19 different locations in the picturesque city center.
The people of Valkenburg were particularly delighted by their "Hetty" - our shopping lady with her shopping trolley, who received fresh flowers almost every day.
We say THANK YOU for this wonderful time and are already looking forward to the second Valkenburg Everyday People exhibition in 2026.

Sylt...
...is always worth a trip! Because on Sylt you can encounter everyday people all year round. Whether it's the two people showering on the beach steps, the three surfers on the promenade, or the boat trip in List. These everyday people have practically become a permanent fixture of the island.
As an annual highlight, a new installation by the artists Laura & Christel Lechner is presented in front of the Kursaal in Wenningstedt every year, inviting visitors to marvel, pause and take photographs.

Nordkirchen
In 2022, the everyday people were allowed to properly celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of the town of the castle community with a birthday feast in the castle park.
But the cowboy with his two ponies, the construction worker crew, and the three Graces on the castle pond also had much to admire.
The enthusiasm of both the visitors and the Nordkirchen castle community for the temporary visitors was so great that the Everyday People will return in 2026!

Eschborn
The Everyday People sculptures were first exhibited in Eschborn's sculpture park in 2021.
The comprehensive sculpture exhibition stretched from the Niederhöchstadt sculpture park to the town hall, near the Westerbach stream.
The sculpture trail, renowned throughout Germany, now runs through the entire town of Eschborn and Niederhöchstadt, offering visitors – depending on their location – a view of the famous Frankfurt skyline or the Taunus mountains. The exhibited sculptures and reliefs by international artists – complemented by the everyday figures of Christel and Laura Lechner – not only shape the townscape but also create a dialogue between viewer and art.

Lichtenwalde
In 2015 and 2019, two exhibitions of the Everyday People sculptures, which attracted nationwide attention in Germany, took place in the Lichtenwalde Castle Park near Chemnitz.
Visitors could walk around, touch, and photograph over 65 figures of everyday people in the palace gardens. And many took advantage of this opportunity!
